Watch: Jayson Tatum caps dominant third quarter with monster dunk over Jalen Smith

Smith has now been the victim of poster dunks by both Tatum and Jaylen Brown in the last 23 days.

Jalen Smith might need to reconsider who he attempts to block at the rim after Saturday’s Bulls-Celtics matchup.

Less than a month removed from being the victim of a vicious poster dunk by Jaylen Brown in the NBA Cup, Smith found himself at the rim against Boston’s other superstar on Saturday.

Jayson Tatum added a monstrous dunk of his own to the growing collection he and Brown are creating against the Bulls, at the direct expense of Smith. Tatum’s dunk served as an emphatic end to a dominant third quarter for Tatum, who scored 18 points on 4 of 5 shooting from beyond the arc and added five rebounds in that frame alone.

Tatum finished with his best game of the season, a 43-point triple-double with 16 rebounds and 10 assists. It’s the first 40-15-10 game in Celtics history.

Smith had a quiet game himself, scoring just two points in 17 minutes of action. His only play of note was the aforementioned dunk against him.

Brown notched 19 points and eight assists of his own, including a steal and breakaway dunk in the first half. Watch his dunk on Smith from Boston’s win over Chicago on Nov. 29:

Tatum and Boston got revenge on the Bulls after losing at home to Chicago on Thursday night. Perhaps Tatum’s mean dunk allowed him to take out some of Thursday’s frustrations on Smith.
