The Celtics are off to another spectacular start this season and have clearly established themselves as the favorites to win it all once again (sorry, Cleveland).

Here are five stats to help provide context.

This 25-game pace is nothing new.

The Celtics have won 20 of their first 25 games to start the season for the third consecutive year.

Over the last 40 years, according to Celtics.com’s Taylor Snow, only one other team has had a longer such streak: the 2007-2010 Celtics.

They’re averaging 19 3-pointers per game.

It’s hard to talk about the Celtics without mentioning their 3-point marksmanship.

Boston is currently averaging 19 made 3-pointers per game, which is well ahead of second-place Chicago (16.6).

The 2022-23 Warriors currently have the record for the most made 3s in a season with 1,363. The Celtics are on pace to shatter that mark if they keep this up, as an average of 19 would put them at 1,558.

Those 3s mean something, too.

Over the last two seasons, the Celtics are 25-0 when hitting 20-plus 3s – 10-0 this year and 15-0 last year.

Golden State has the record for games with 20-plus 3-pointers in a season with 19 – a mark the Celtics have an excellent shot to exceed.

They’re 7-0 when totaling 30-plus assists.

The number of assists the Celtics record in a given game is often a barometer for how the team fares.

After totaling 34 in Thursday’s win over the Pistons, Boston is now 7-0 this season when handing out at least 30 assists.

According to WEEI’s Justin Turpin, the Celtics are 48-6 under coach Joe Mazzulla when hitting that number (including the playoffs).

Keeping it (under) 100 is critical.

Last year, the Celtics were 15-0 in the regular season when holding the opposition below 100 points.

This season, they’ve kept it rolling, posting a 5-0 record in such games. With the season about a third of the way done, they’re essentially on pace to hit the same mark.

Notably, four of those five performances have come in the last 10 games, after one in the first 15.
