Derrick White starred in another Samuel Adams commercial released on Friday, but this one came with a special announcement: He’s launching his own beer.

The Celtics standout guard partnered with Sam Adams to create (Derrick) White Ale. In the ad announcing the launch of the beer, White and the “Your Cousin from Boston” character re-enacted scenes from “The Town.”

“I need your help. I can’t tell you what it is and you can never ask me about it later. But we’re gonna brew some beer,” the Cousin from Boston told White.

“Whose car are we gonna take?” White deadpans.

Later in the commercial, White introduced the ingredients used in (Derrick) White Ale before brewing the beer with the Cousin from Boston character. They re-enacted the robbery scene from “The Town” where the gang dressed like nuns, wearing facemasks resembling the patriot Samuel Adams to trick the security at the brewery.

At the end of the commercial, the Cousin from Boston made one ask of White.

“Don’t even think about running to Florida afterward.”

“Is that from a movie or something?” White asked.

The commercial re-enacting scenes from “The Town” is the third time that White has been featured in a commercial with Sam Adams. Ahead of the Celtics’ championship parade in June, Sam Adams released an ad where White bought a duck boat and drove it around Boston before heading into the water.

As for the beer, (Derrick) White Ale features “refreshing coriander and orange peel to go with spices such as rose hips and tamarind,” according to a press release. It has an alcohol percentage by volume of 5.9 percent.

(Derrick) White Ale will be available for purchase on draft and in limited-edition cans at Boston Beer Co.’s downtown Boston taproom throughout the Celtics season while supplies last. Additionally, $1 from every pint sold will go to The Greater Boston Food Bank.

To help celebrate the launch of his beer, White will pour beers at the downtown taproom from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Samuel Adams’ Jamaica Plain brewery will also hold a raffle for signed cans of (Derrick) White Ale from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.
