“KP is lurking.”

Kristaps Porzingis seems to be making progress on his rehab journey after the Celtics’ X account posted a clip of him practicing on court before Wednesday’s game against the Nets. Captioned “Porzingis getting some work in pregame,” with the double eyes emoji, the video hints at the star center’s nearing return.

Porzingis underwent surgery in June for a torn medial retinaculum in his left leg, the recovery for which was expected to be five to six months.

“KP is lurking,” said NBC’s Celtics insider Chris Forsberg. “What he’s doing in warm-ups is very similar to what we saw during the playoffs — maybe even a step beyond that.”

Despite injuring his leg in the first round of the playoffs, Porzingis logged 16 minutes in the NBA Finals against the Mavericks.

The 10-3 Celtics defeated the Nets on Wednesday night after an at-home loss to the Hawks on Tuesday. Porzingis has been traveling with the team as his leg recovers, and attended both games.
