Watch Celtics rookie Baylor Scheierman drain a 60-foot buzzer-beater

The rookie logged 24 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a steal on Monday.

The Maine Celtics’ Baylor Scheierman scored 24 points and made a 60-foot buzzer beater in a strong G League performance against the Delaware Blue Coats on Monday.

The rookie logged 10 rebounds, five assists and a steal, helping lead Maine to a solid 130-111 win over Delaware. At the end of the third quarter, Scheierman sank a 60-foot shot and solidified Maine’s advantage to 23 points.

Scheierman played 39 minutes and shot 8-for-14, 6-of-10 being from 3-point range.

In Friday’s G League season opener, the 24-year-old guard scored 31 points, including six 3-pointers, though Maine ultimately lost to the Long Island Nets.

He has continued to switch rotations between Boston and Maine after some struggles in the preseason. Boston recalled him for Tuesday night’s game against the Hawks, in which they fell 117-116. On Wednesday morning, he was assigned to Maine.

Maine next plays the Westchester Knicks at home on Friday night.
