Celtics star Jaylen Brown sidelined Saturday with left hip flexor strain
Perhaps the Celtics are taking a cautious approach on the second night of a back to back.
Jaylen Brown will miss Saturday’s Celtics-Hornets game due to a left hip flexor strain.
According to The Boston Globe‘s Gary Washburn, Brown tweaked his hip in the third quarter Friday before staying in the game.
Brown spoke to the media postgame after the Celtics’ 124-109 win. Perhaps the Celtics are taking a cautious approach on the second night of a back to back.
Brown has scored 20-plus points every game this season, and is averaging 25.8, but he’s shooting just 39.6 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from 3-point range.
Last year was the first time he played 70-plus games since 2018-19.
Sam Hauser (low back injury management) is probable. Kristaps Porzingis is still out (left posterior tibialis tendon surgery rehabilitation).
