The Boston Celtics are back in the NBA Finals for the second time in three seasons.

But Celtics fans will need to wait more than a week until their team returns to the parquet floor.

Boston may just be four wins away from Banner 18 after sweeping the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, but the 2024 NBA Finals won’t officially tip-off at TD Garden until Thursday, June 6.

The NBA locked in its schedule for the Finals before both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals got underway, with the Dallas Mavericks currently holding a 3-0 series edge over the Timberwolves in their series.

All signs point to the Mavericks battling the Celtics with a championship on the line, but don’t expect any adjustments to the NBA Finals schedule, even if Dallas completes its sweep over Minnesota in Game 4 on Tuesday.
