It was Gino Time at TD Garden thanks to the Celtics 138-110 win over the Mavericks, marking Boston’s 10th consecutive victory.

As usual, the win was a team effort for the Celtics. Jayson Tatum played 37 minutes and scored 32 points with 15 of those coming from beyond the arc. Kristaps Porzingis netted 24 points while Derrick white flirted with a triple-double (13 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds).

Jaylen Brown’s performance was equally as impressive.

The 27-year-old collected 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists against Dallas. Brown added a steal to his stat line and ended the night as a +16.

After the game, Brown talked about how he was feeling throughout his performance.

“I’m just taking my time,” Brown told NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin. “Just seeing the floor, seeing where the reads is coming from, trying to find my teammates, and trying to just make sure every possession, treating it like it’s your last.”

That mentality and sense of urgency have propelled Boston to a 47-12 record, by far the NBA’s best.

Brown knows it takes a village to reach the top of the standings. He explained how the team has worked as a whole over its 10-game win streak, the longest by a NBA team all season.

“We haven’t skipped no steps. I think this year we’ve been intentional about everything that we do, so we’ve been locked in,” Brown told Chin. “We gotta keep that up. We all know what we’re playing for.”

Of course, they’re playing for the Celtics’ 18th banner and the team’s first NBA Finals series win since 2008.

Brown went on to tell reporters that the team is taking things one game at a time to hopefully reach their collective goal.

“It’s a different team,” Brown said at the podium. “It’s a new year. I know everybody’s gonna always look back to the previous years when in reality every year we’ve had a different team, and sometimes even different coaches.

“The pieces that we added made contributions right away and you see it out there. We been consistent, taking care of the ball. Stuff that might have haunted us in the past has kind of turned into some of our strengths. … We’re just focused on getting better every day.”
