Celtics’ Jaylen Brown named NBA All-Star for the third time

The Celtics will be represented by Brown and Jayson Tatum in Indianapolis.

Jaylen Brown has been selected to participate in this month’s NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis.

Brown was selected as a reserve for the Eastern Conference team along with Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell, Miami’s Bam Adebayo, Philadelphia’s Tyrese Maxey, Orlando’s Paolo Banchero, New York’s Jalen Brunson, and New York’s Julius Randle.

Brown will make his third All-Star appearance. Jayson Tatum, who was selected as a starter, will also represent the Celtics in the game.

Brown is currently averaging 22.6 points per game, which is his lowest scoring average since 2020.

But, he’s shooting a career-best 49.4 percent from the field and averaging 5.4 rebounds, along with 3.7 assists per game averaging 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks.

The Celtics, who have been bolstered by the additions of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, have the NBA’s best record at 37-11.
