Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown is back in the lineup against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday after missing two games with knee soreness.
According to Brad Stevens, Brown is fully healthy again.
“Should be full strength, didn’t miss obviously much time,” Stevens said. “Like I said, was feeling better Sunday, so he was trending towards playing today.”
Brown’s extended absence sparked a small amount of concern. Prior to Boston’s loss to Phoenix, Stevens said the team is monitoring Brown’s condition.
“He really felt it more than he probably had been in the Sacramento game,” Stevens said. “You saw the layup in front of our bench where he laid it in off one leg. I told him he looked like me on that one. He was sore that night, yesterday still sore, this morning still.
“He’s dealing with the intensity of all the games that have come before that he hasn’t missed any of. So hopefully it’s not something long term. We’re certainly on top of it. But it wasn’t one moment that I know.”
On Tuesday, Stevens said Marcus Smart — who suffered a calf strain — still has a way to go.
“I don’t expect him back anytime in the near, near future, with regard to our upcoming games,” Stevens said.
Stevens had no update on Romeo Langford, who has not played yet this season after undergoing surgery on his wrist while the Celtics were in the bubble.
