Here are all the moves the Celtics made during the 2019 NBA Draft
Four rookies are headed to Boston — for now.
The Celtics were active Thursday night, making four selections as well as two trades in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Heading into the evening, the C’s held the 14th, 20th, 22nd, and 51st overall picks.
Here’s a look at what they did with them:
1. Select Indiana’s Romeo Langford with the 14th pick.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver poses with Indiana’s Romeo Langford after the Celtics selected him with the 14th pick.
2. Trade the 20th pick to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for picks No. 24 and 33.
With the 20th pick, the Sixers opted for Washington Huskies shooting guard Matisse Thybulle. Though Thybulle walked across the stage at the Barclays Center in a green Celtics hat, his rights belong to the 76ers.
3. Select Tennessee’s Grant Williams with the 22nd pick.
4. Trade the 24th pick to the Phoenix Suns.
The Celtics flipped the pick they received from Philly into a deal for a future first-round pick. Boston sent the 24th overall pick in this year’s draft along with center Aron Baynes to the Suns in exchange for Milwaukee’s 2020 first-round pick (top-7 protected). Milwaukee had traded the pick to Phoenix in November 2017.
Boston now holds two protected first-round selections in next year’s draft: Milwaukee’s and Memphis’s (top-6 protected).
With the 24th pick, Phoenix went with Virginia Cavaliers point guard Ty Jerome.
