Multiple bloody Celtics temporarily leave Nets game with cuts
Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart, and Marcus Morris all fell victim.
More bandages than usual were needed at TD Garden on Monday night.
In the first half, both forward Gordon Hayward and shooting guard Marcus Smart were forced to leave the floor temporarily and head to the locker to have stitches after getting cut during the team’s 112-104 win over the Brooklyn Nets. In the fourth, it appeared as though Marcus Morris was bleeding as well.
Hayward was cut on the hand in the first quarter, while Smart got his right above the eye in the second. After receiving medical attention, both returned to the game.
“It feels good,” Smart said of his eye after the victory.”Besides this little strip thing (bandage) on the side of my eye that’s making it hard to see, but I’m fine. No headaches or anything like that, so I should be good to go.”

With his blood on his uniform, Celtics forward Gordon Hayward clutches his left hand as he heads to the locker room during the first quarter Monday.
