Looks like Gordon Hayward is getting pretty good at shooting from that chair

They even turned the lights on for him this time.

It was hardly a secret that Gordon Hayward was getting shots up from a chair as part of his recovery from his gruesome leg injury three weeks ago.

But who knew he had such range?

“Gotta have some fun within the grind!” Hayward wrote in the caption of an Instagram video Tuesday afternoon of him hitting a shot from just within half-court in the Celtics practice facility.

Fractured ankle or not, the injured Celtics forward added that it was “harder than it looks.”

Of course, unlike on Sunday, Hayward also had the benefit Tuesday of shooting with the lights actually on (though Danny Ainge would argue such things do not matter for a native of Indiana).

In a press conference last week, Hayward revealed that his rehab routine included chair shooting, which he acknowledged was “a little bit different than shooting standing up.”

“I feel pretty short,” he said. “But just to be out on the court with a basketball, and have Scott, our assistant, rebounding for me, that was an incredible feeling.”

Hayward has not put a timetable on his return.
