Semi Ojeleye led the Celtics through a prayer while Gordon Hayward received medical attention
While medical staff tended to forward Gordon Hayward’s horrific ankle injury, the Celtics huddled together on the sidelines in an emotional display of solidarity.

As Boston’s hearts ached for Hayward, second-round draft pick Semi Ojeleye led the group in a prayer for their teammate. Jaylen Brown told reporters after the game that the prayer’s purpose was to bring the team together during a tough time for not only the Celtics but also for Hayward and his family.
“We just wanted to be there for him,” Brown said.
“We prayed for him, for his health,” Jayson Tatum added. “And we just told each other that we got to stick together, and we got to keep pushing.

With few veterans on the squad, the Celtics were likely grateful a rookie stepped up to console his team during a time of need. Ojeleye was 37th pick overall out of Southern Methodist University. On Tuesday night, he logged eight minutes off the bench.
