Bill Russell tells Gordon Hayward that “you are a Celtic” and “you are not alone”: The Celtics legend tweeted his support like many other NBA players (past and present), but then sent a second message to one of Boston’s newest players:

Brad Stevens talked about losing Gordon Hayward to injury: Minutes into reuniting for the first time since their days at Butler, the Brad Stevens-Gordon Hayward partnership was rocked by Hayward’s unfortunate injury.
“You hurt for him,” Stevens said of Hayward. “It’s a tough, tough deal, but I guess that’s part of the risk of injury. I really feel for him.” (CBS Boston)
