Jaylen Brown calls burning of Isaiah Thomas jersey ‘pathetic’

After the announcement that Isaiah Thomas would be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a few Celtics fans decided to bid adieu to their former point guard by burning his jersey.

Many viewers did not respond well to the gesture, calling it disrespectful, nonsensical, and attention-grabbing. Some of the YouTube videos documenting the process has since been deleted, but not before they caught the eye of forward Jaylen Brown.

Brown shared a link to the video on his Twitter account, accompanied by just three words: “This is pathetic.”
