NBA rookies voted Jayson Tatum and Lonzo Ball as most likely to succeed
Brad Stevens isn’t the only one with confidence in the Celtics third overall draft pick Jayson Tatum. According to the foward’s peers, he is one of the top two rookies most likely to succeed in the NBA.
When asked “Which rookie will have the best career?” on the latest edition of the NBA’s annual rookie survey, a group of 39 incoming players identified Tatum and Lonzo Ball as the leading candidates.

They also voted on a variety of other superlatives, such as most likely to win Rookie of the Year, most athletic, and best shooter. While Tatum did not finish in the top three for any of the other categories, he did receive votes for most likely to win Rookie of the Year, biggest steal at where he was selected in the draft, and best playmaker.
