Isaiah Thomas bid farewell to Amir Johnson with a friendly taunt
After spending two seasons in Boston, Amir Johnson has announced that he is leaving the Celtics to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
While there are no hard feelings between Johnson and the Celtics organization, former teammate Isaiah Thomas decided to keep up with his social media shenanigans and poke fun at the 6-foot-9 forward.
On an Instagram photo of Johnson with his new jersey, Thomas commented: “Don’t switch on the ball screen. If u do I’m making yo big ass fall lol.” His cautionary warning was in reference to the defensive mismatch that typically occurs after a pick-and-roll.
Johnson didn’t seem fazed by the threat and responded: “Hell naw I’m locking that s*** up.” With the 76ers and the Celtics in the same division, the two will likely have multiple opportunities to put their words to the test.
