Bill Russell may be decades removed from his playing days, but he apparently still knows how to talk a little trash.
After receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the NBA Awards Monday night, Russell pointed individually at legendary centers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, David Robinson, and Dikembe Mutombo, who were on stage with him, and delivered a line that brought down the house.
“I would kick your ass,” he said, covering his mouth from the audience.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and now 2016-17 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook were among those applauding the burn by the Celtics great.
Russell continued his speech on a more serious note.
“Thank you, guys,” the 11-time NBA champion said, addressing the players. “You have no idea how much respect I have for you guys because you did it in your own time, in your own way, and I appreciate that. You make me proud to have played the same game as you guys.”
The NBA Awards aired on TNT and were held in New York City.
