Regardless of where he gets drafted on June 22, Markelle Fultz has high aspirations for his first season in the NBA.
“I got big goals for myself. Rookie of the Year. Winning MVP,” Fultz told his childhood hero, Tracy McGrady, before the two played some friendly one-on-one basketball.
The University of Washington guard seemed determined with intentions, as he confidently affirmed his answer when McGrady clarified, “Like the league MVP?”
Fultz averaged 23.2 points per game in his lone season of college basketball and has worked out for the Boston Celtics. The projected top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft also has plans to work out for the Los Angeles Lakers, who hold the second selection.
