The Boston Celtics suffered a heartbreaking 92-91 loss to the Washington Wizards in game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Friday night. The culprit? Wizards point guard John Wall, whose three-pointer over the outstretched arm of Celtics shooting guard Avery Bradley with 3.5 seconds left sent the crowd at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. into hysterics.

After scoring only 3 points in the first half, Wall stepped his game up in the second half, finishing with 26 points and 8 assists.

The Celtics had one last chance to win the game, after Wizards forward Kelly Oubre fouled Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk, giving Boston an inbounds pass with 1.7 seconds left. But Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas couldn’t match his Wizards counterpart, missing a contested three-pointer at the buzzer.
