Isaiah Thomas fined $25,000 for cursing at Wizards fan during Game 3
Upon further review, the NBA is fining Isaiah Thomas for his exchange with a Wizards fan last week.
The league announced Wednesday that it was fining the Celtics guard $25,000 for the incident, which occurred during the Celtics’ Game 3 loss in Washington. The exchange was captured in a video posted Friday on Instagram and circulated earlier this week.

According to the user who captured the footage, the heckler had been “screaming all game” at the All-Star point guard, and Thomas said, “I will f— you up, and you know that.” Thomas’s actual words are inaudible in the video.
The announcement of Thomas’s five-figure fine came just hours ahead of the Game 5 of the Celtics-Wizards series Wednesday night in Boston. It’s the second time a Celtics player has been fined this postseason for an inappropriate interaction with a fan.
