Morning sports update: LaVar Ball would rather son play for Lakers over Celtics
The Bruins boosted their playoff chances by extending their win streak to three, the Celtics reclaimed the top seed in the Eastern conference with the Cavaliers loss, and Opening Day is just three days away.
LaVar Ball on ‘Dale & Holley with Keefe:’ I would prefer Lonzo Ball play for the Lakers: “It’s not about me liking [the Celtics] or disliking them. It’s just that we’re west coast guys,” he said. “I’d love for him to stay on the west coast where his brothers can see him all of the time. We’re a real big family. That’s just the only difference. But like I said, my son will play for any team on the fact that his goal was to make it to the NBA. So it doesn’t matter what team he plays for.” (WEEI)
Tuukka Rask gets 7th shutout of season, Bruins beat Stars 2-0: ‘‘It wasn’t our cleanest game but those things happen,’’ Rask said. ‘‘Other teams behind us are breathing down our necks, so we have to keep plugging away and winning.’’ (Boston.com)
