Celtics are in the playoffs, so how do they match up?
After the Celtics suffered a disheartening 20-point loss to the Nuggets on March 10, point guard Isaiah Thomas and forward Jae Crowder went out to dinner in Denver. Thomas was frustrated with the loss, and even more frustrated by how it had shifted the Eastern Conference playoff picture, if only temporarily.
“He was pretty pissed,” Crowder said, “because the Wizards had won and gained second place.”
Since then, though, there has been a reversal. Over the next 10 days, the Celtics leapfrogged the Wizards once more to hold a somewhat comfortable 2½-game lead on them. The Celtics have 11 games left in the regular season, the Wizards have 12.
