Paul Pierce’s favorite locker room memory involves a hungry Kevin Garnett

The Celtics certainly had some characters on the roster during the Paul Pierce era in Boston. From Ricky Davis to Glen Davis and everyone in between, Boston was never short on personality.

When Paul Pierce was asked his “weirdest locker room story” by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman as part of The Players’ Tribune’s “Asked and Answered” segment, The Truth didn’t hesitate to bring up the one and only Kevin Garnett.

In Pierce’s tale, the plot is simple: some unfamiliar doctors attempted to get in on the players-only buffet, and The Big Ticket wasn’t having any of it.

“We see them making a plate with the players’ food. And I remember going over there and Kevin Garnett was over there and he just kind of…knocked the plate out of his hand and said, ‘This is the players’ food.'”

KG was certainly known for his hunger to win on the court, but as it turns out, he also isn’t someone to mess with when it comes to his hunger off the court.

Pierce added, “I don’t think I ever saw that doctor again.”

That was probably for the best.
