Watch a little kid eliminate Avery Bradley in a game of knockout

The Celtics shooting guard is looking healthy after a hamstring injury ended his season prematurely.

Avery Bradley is one of the most experienced players on the Celtics roster, but even he can look a little rusty with his shot during the NBA offseason. The shooting guard made an appearance in Belmont on Monday to help the Celtics and Arbella unveil a new court as part of their Home Court Makeover Program. To help break in the new digs, Bradley took part in a game of knockout with a number of children from the neighborhood.Kids around the country have had trouble facing off with NBA stars this summer, but one particularly little guy sporting plenty of Celtics gear got some revenge by making quick work of Bradley.

Despite the early elimination, Bradley’s presence  on the court is  a good sign for Boston’s prospects this season. The 25-year-old was sidelined for multiple weeks with a hamstring strain last April as the Hawks eliminated the Celtics in the first round of the postseason.

“I recovered, after we got knocked out [of the playoffs] , maybe like a week after I was feeling back to myself,” he said. “I’ve been training, making sure my leg is good shape and I feel great right now.”

Bradley should be at full strength when training camp kicks off next month. In the meantime, he’ll have a few weeks to stew about his early knockout elimination.
