Al Horford takes out full-page ad to thank Hawks fans
The newest addition to the Boston Celtics showed class Thursday.
Days after agreeing to a 4-year, $113 million deal with the Boston Celtics, Al Horford took out a full-page ad in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, thanking Hawks fans for their support over the course of his nine seasons with the team.
Horford was drafted third overall by the Hawks in the 2007 NBA Draft, and has played with them ever since.

Although Horford’s father claimed the lack of passion from Hawks fans (Atlanta ranked 22nd in the NBA in attendance despite a winning record) compared to that of Boston played a part in his decision, it was a classy gesture from Horford to thank the fans.
Celtics fans have a lot to be excited about with the addition of the four-time All-Star, including that they seem to be adding another high character player to the team.
