The NBA Draft is Thursday night at 7 p.m., and with eight picks at their disposal — including the No. 3 overall selection — the Boston Celtics are at the center of the trade rumors spectrum.

Will the Celtics look to go young and build through the draft? Or, will they opt to make a run at a seasoned veteran?

Here’s what reporters around the NBA are saying:

  • Latest: League sources tell ESPN’s Marc Stein and Chad Ford that Philadelphia is “ramping up its efforts” to acquire the Celtics’ No. 3 overall pick.
  • ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes the Celtics would be the ideal trade partner for Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love, stating that the Cavs “really like” Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley.
  • The Celtics have reportedly discussed trading the No. 3 overall pick and “a contract” for Milwaukee Bucks swingman Khris Middleton, according to ProBasketballDraft.com.
  • ESPN’s Chad Ford reports that the Celtics (#3), Suns (#4), Wolves (#5), Pelicans (#6), Nuggets (#7), Kings (#8) are all shopping their lottery picks to some extent.
  • Trade talks between the Celtics and the 76ers have started to heat up, according to CSNNE’s Tim Welsh, reporting that Philadelphia “really really wants” Providence guard Kris Dunn.
  • Tim Welsh also reports that Philadelphia big men Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel are “in play” in a possible Celtics-Sixers deal.
  • In addition to Khris Middleton, the Celtics have pursued his Milwaukee teammate Jabari Parker, as well as Chicago Bulls All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler and Utah Jazz guard Gordon Hayward in packages involving the No. 3 overall pick, per Marc Stein of ESPN.
  • And reportedly Hayward wants to be traded, according to HoopsCritic.com.
