Morning Sports Update: Kris Dunn’s agents reportedly plan to push Celtics away during draft process
Good morning, sports fans.
Providence guard Kris Dunn’s agents reportedly plan to withhold medical information from the Celtics, David Ortiz still plans on retiring, and in a doubleheader against the Royals, the Red Sox lose, 3-2, in the first game, and win the second game, 5-2.
Will Kris Dunn try to avoid getting drafted by the Celtics? “They [his agents] don’t want him to go to a team that has a young, established point guard.” Wojnarowski said on The Vertical Draft Lottery Show, and added later, “They can’t stop them from drafting Dunn, but will those teams do it without his medical records, without a personal workout, without an interview with him? Because I’m told Boston and Phoenix will likely have to do that with Dunn.” (Yahoo.com)

David Ortiz still plans on retiring: “I’m good with the decision that I’m making because I’ve been thinking about it for a while,” Ortiz told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday. “It’s been a couple years. Because your body, man. Your body tells you. My body, man. My body’s pretty beat up. Remember, if you look at guys my size, they don’t last. I noticed that seven or eight years ago. That’s why I needed to start doing things right. I lost 25 pounds. I started eating better, do things better. But let me tell you: It’s not easy, man.” (Yahoo.com)
