Timberwolves owner believes Kevin Garnett will play another season
Kevin Garnett is the longest tenured player in the NBA, and Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor believes that it will stay that way next season, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities.
Spoke w/ Glen Taylor yesterday. On KG’s future: “You’d have to ask him, but from everything he’s told me, he wants to be (back).” #twolves

Garnett turns 40 next month, and is under contract at $8 million for the 2016-17 season. If he decides to return, it would be his NBA record 22nd year in the league.
KG started in all 38 games he played last season, but averaged a career low in minutes per game (20.3). His primary role has been serving as a mentor and locker room leader on a young Timberwolves team that has two No. 1 overall picks in Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.
His retirement decision could affect that of former teammate Paul Pierce, who has expressed interest in leaving the game at the same time of Garnett, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald.
Garnett, who is third all-time in minutes played (50,418) and fifth in games (1462), has been out since Jan. 23 with a sore right knee.
