The Celtics went off on the Grizzlies after this halftime speech from Brad Stevens
It was an awfully short speech.
The Celtics found their swagger at halftime in their 116-96 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Boston entered the half trailing, 55-52, and coach Brad Stevens delivered a short and apparently effective speech, as the Celtics followed with a 64-point half.
“If you don’t play hard, you don’t deserve to win,’’ Stevens told the team, via Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Mannix.

Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas scored 16 of his 22 points in the third quarter. And the Celtics surged out to a 83-67 lead after three quarters. They had little trouble holding on for their 14th consecutive win at home.
‘‘It wasn’t brain surgery,’’ Stevens said of his halftime adjustments following the game. ‘‘We just walked in and said, ‘They’re beating us to every loose ball and getting every rebound. This is the way they (can) beat you tonight. So, we either have to change that or we won’t win.’’’
