The Boston Celtics may not have acquired the superstar many had been anticipating before the trade deadline, but according to Jae Crowder, they already have one.

“We just had an All-Star, so I don’t know what other superstar you want.’’ Crowder told ESPN’s Chris Forsberg on Wednesday. “But there’s a lot of talk about we need a superstar and stuff like that. But all five guys on the court are so locked in and so engaged that we’re one superstar.’’

The fourth-year forward explained that he believes the Celtics’ team-oriented style of play is good enough to compete with the best in league.

“We all play together. It’s a scary thing when a team don’t know who to match up to, whose night it’s going to be on the offensive end,’’ he said. “And, defensively, we all fight together and play together. It’s a scary approach.’’

The Celtics are coming out of the All-Star break with a 32-23 record, good for third in the Eastern Conference.
