Thomas was all smiles
It’s a small jersey for a big-impact player.
Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was awarded his first All-Star jersey by owners Wyc Grousbeck and Steve Pagliuca before putting an exclamation mark on his All-Star campaign with a game-high 36 points in the Celtics’ 139-134 overtime win over the Clippers on Wednesday.

“Man, that’s like a dream come true,’’ Thomas told CSNNE.com Wednesday when asked about being selected for the game. “I couldn’t tell nobody this story and they really believe what’s happening right now. That’s how my life has been. It’s, first off, a blessing from God. And it’s just something that I’ve worked so hard for and it’s finally here. I can’t wait.’’
The 5-foot-9 guard is the smallest All-Star since Calvin Murphy in 1979. They are the only two All-Stars under 5-foot-10, via UPI.com.
During the 2015-16 season, Thomas has averaged 32.5 minutes for 21.5 points, 6.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and has shot 42.3 percent from the field.
