Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly fire David Blatt

The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired David Blatt, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Blatt was in his second full season as the Cavaliers head coach after being hired in June of 2014.

Cleveland currently sits on top of the Eastern Conference with a record of 30-11.

According to the report, Assistant Ty Lue has agreed to a three-year deal as the new Cavaliers head coach.

The Cavaliers finished second in the Eastern Conference with a 53-29 record, and won the Eastern Conference title for the first time since 2007, before being defeating in the NBA Finals by the Golden State Warriors in six games. He was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for March of 2015.
