Jae Crowder hits incredible full-court shot on inbounds pass—which doesn’t count
File this one under “Doesn’t Count, But We Wish It Did.’’
With 1.1 seconds left in the second quarter of Wednesday’s 100-98 loss, Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder heaved the ball more than 90 feet toward the Indiana Pacers’ hoop, improbably banking the ball into the basket.
One problem: Crowder was inbounding the ball.

Since the ball never touched any on-court player before going in, Crowder;s incredible feat was ruled a turnover, and the Pacers were given possession. Fortunately for Crowder, who could only smile after his impressive turnover, the Pacers were not able to add on to their 49-43 lead with their extra possession.
Here’s what his shot looked like courtside.
