Watch: Terry Rozier hits a game-tying three in NBA Summer League
When Terry Rozier isn’t eating red sauce-spaghetti-sugar-ranch sandwiches, the Celtics first round draft pick has been hitting clutch shots at the NBA Summer League.
Down three points — and a point guard — to the San Antonio Spurs in the Las Vegas tournament quarterfinals Saturday, the Celtics rookie got the ball with 6.1 seconds left in the game.

Despite having shot just 1-11 to that point, Rozier hit a step-back, corner three, tying the game at 93-93 and prompting an enthusiastic bench celebration from injured fellow guard Marcus Smart.
The celebration, however, was short-lived, as the Spurs’ undrafted rookie Shannon Scott answered right back with an equally-impressive running, 20-foot buzzer-beater.

Rozier didn’t put up the most impressive Celtics statline in the 95-93 loss — rookies R.J. Hunter and Jordan Mickey led the scoring with 22 and 18 points, respectively — the 6’2 point guard from Louisville hasn’t begun to show a knack for end-of-game shots.
In their second-round win against the Portland Trail Blazers, Rozier put the Celtics up for good with a step-back elbow jumper, followed by contested three from the wing.

That spaghetti sandwich energy seems to be kicking in at just the right times.
