Celtics guard Marcus Smart hit the hardwood after getting tangled up with Trail Blazers forward Noah Vonleh in the second quarter of Boston’s summer league win over Portland.

Smart dislocated his right index and right middle fingers, the team announced on Twitter. He underwent x-rays on Friday night, which came back negative. Smart tweeted at around 1 a.m. on Friday morning that he had suffered a minor setback.

Smart was chasing a rebound and tripped over Vonleh, who was already on the ground. Smart’s screams were audible on the broadcast as he rolled around on the court. Celtics athletic trainer Ed Lacerte helped Smart off the court. If you’re strong of stomach, you can catch a glimpse of the fingers here.

The Celtics rallied without the second-year guard behind rookie Terry Rozier, as they finished the second quarter with a 20-6 run on the way to a 91-85 victory.

The team has not announced whether Smart will be available for the Celtics matchup against the Spurs on Saturday.
