Lakers draft pick called Kobe Bryant a #rapist on Twitter in 2012
Things are about to get awkward in Los Angeles.
The Lakers drafted Larry Nance Jr. with the 27th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The Wyoming product averaged 16 points per game last season, but it’s his social media history that has caught everyone’s attention.
In a since-deleted tweet from 2012, Nance wrote: “Gee I sure hope Kobe can keep his hands to himself in Denver this time.. #rapist’’

Bryant was accused of rape in 2003 by a Colorado hotel worker, but she refused to testify in criminal court and the charges were dropped. Bryant and his accuser settled out of court in a civil suit.
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak reportedly spoke with Nance about the tweet, but it’s still going to be interesting to see how Bryant responds when he meets his new teammate for the first time.
