Report: Steph Curry is sending one of his NBA Finals jerseys to Drazen Petrovic’s Mom
Stephen Curry is the NBA MVP and a world champion, but he hasn’t forgotten the people who played a small part in helping him get to where he is today.
Curry is sending one of his game-worn NBA Finals jerseys to Drazen Petrovic’s mom, according to a report by Mark Jones of ESPN. Petrovic’s mother took care of three-year-old Stephen at the 1992 NBA Three-point Contest while Petrovic and Steph’s father Dell were competing.

Petrovic died in a car accident in 1993 just as his NBA career was beginning to take off. He was just 28 years old at the time. His life and relationship with former NBA player Vlade Divac were the subject of the 30 for 30 movie “Once Brothers.’’
