Report: Celtics to sell Kevin Love, Paul Pierce on joining forces in Boston
Kevin Love opted out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Celtics are reportedly set to recruit Love to Boston with the idea that Paul Pierce could rejoin the team too.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports that while the Cavs remain the favorites to retain Love, the Celtics would sell him on trying to bring him, Pierce, and former Portland Trailblazer Robin Lopez in as free agents and make a run at the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

It’s still early in the process, but it’s clear the Celtics plan to be aggressive this offseason. How successful Danny Ainge is on draft night could influence the approach to free agency, but the prospect of bringing Pierce back for one last run with Love and Brad Stevens is definitely something worth monitoring.
