Harvard will face off against the University of North Carolina Thursday in Jacksonville in the Crimson’s fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Harvard was announced as the 13-seed in the West Division, one spot worse than last season, when it upset Cincinnati in the first round before losing to Michigan State, 80-73.

This will be Harvard’s fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, where the Crimson are 2-5 overall.

The Crimson backed into the Ivy League’s NCAA Tournament auto-bid, beating Yale 53-51 in a one-game playoff for the conference title. That game was only made possible by Dartmouth’s last-second comeback against Yale days prior.

The Crimson were led in scoring this season by senior guard Wesley Saunders, who averaged more than 16 points and four assists per game.
