Watch: Harvard Basketball Players Freak Out Over Yale’s Loss to Dartmouth
It’s March Madness season, a magical time when days lengthen, snowbanks thaw and dreams come true – or evaporate – in a matter of seconds.
For a minute on Saturday night, a group of Harvard Basketball players thought their chance at a dance had ended before it began. With 28 seconds to go, Yale led Dartmouth by 5. One win ahead of Harvard in the standings, Yale was poised to secure the Ivy League crown and a ticket to the tournament.
But Dartmouth pulled off the impossible – or nearly impossible – to preserve the Crimson’s playoff hopes.
As would be expected, Harvard’s basketball team went nuts. Check out the video above to share in their unbridled joy.
The schools will face off March 14 on the neutral floor of the Palestra in Philadelphia for the Ivy League’s auto-bid to the NCAA Tournament.
