Minnesota showed just how much it loved Kevin Garnett when its favorite son returned to the Target Center on Feb. 25. On Sunday, the veteran forward announced he’s returning the favor.

According to an announcement posted on the team’s site, Garnett purchased 1,000 tickets to Monday night’s game against the Clippers, with a pair of tickets going to the first 500 fans to claim them on timberwolves.com/kg when the request portal goes live Monday at 9 a.m.

“The response and support I’ve received from Wolves fans since my return to Minnesota has been nothing short of amazing. It’s been unbelievable,’’ Garnett said in a statement. “As a gesture of thanks, I would like to treat some fans to Monday night’s game against the Clippers. Love you all, and thanks for the love. Enjoy the game on me.’’
