Celtics Acquire Isaiah Thomas From Phoenix Suns

Trader Danny has done it again.
The Celtics have reportedly made their 10th trade of the NBA calendar year, minutes before the trade deadline hit on Thursday afternoon. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports was first to report that the Celtics would be acquiring Isaiah Thomas from the Phoenix Suns.
Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com fills us in on the latest details of the transaction.

Thomas is in the first year of a four-year contract that pays him $27 million over the duration of the deal. The Celtics showed interest in the 26-year-old this summer, before he signed with the Suns in free agency via a sign-and-trade.
The first-round pick the Celtics will be sending out in the deal is a 2016 top-10 protected pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers. It will likely fall in the 20’s.
Thomas is a 5-foot-9 point guard who is averaging 15.2 points and 3.7 assists in 25.4 minutes per game this year.
We’ll have much more on the trade, as the details continue to roll in.
