NBA Adds Twitter Handle to Official Game Ball
The NBA will add its @NBA Twitter handle to its official game balls for next season, becoming the first American professional sports league to do so.

The NBA is hugely successful on social media, thanks in large part to an international fan base. Almost half of the league’s followers on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube are international, according to Forbes.
The NBA’s official Twitter account has 10.8 million followers. The NFL, which garners much higher ratings in the US, has 7.02 million followers.
