Shabazz Napier Unfollows LeBron James, Deletes Tweets

Miami Heat rookie point guard Shabazz Napier has been a longtime fan of NBA superstar LeBron James, and the feeling has been mutual. James made his feelings on Napier known during the NCAA Tournament, when Napier was leading UConn to the national title:
No way u take another PG in the lottery before Napier.

He also made his feelings known on draft night, when the Heat selected P.J. Hairston with the 26th pick, then sent Hairston, their second-round pick, and a future second-rounder to Charlotte for Napier.
“@KingJames: My favorite player in the draft! #Napier” Appreciate that, looking forward to this new chapter! #HeatNation

Napier seemed happy to play in Miami:
The Twitter account for the Heat’s latest addition is @ShabazzNapier …. His first follow after he was drafted was @KingJames

Cute, right?
Napier and James may have swooned over each other earlier this summer, but when James spurned Miami and signed on with the Cleveland Cavaliers last week, that was apparently the end of the love affair for Napier. Napier no longer follows James on Twitter. And his tweets of excitement about playing with James have since been deleted.
I guess it’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
