LeBron’s Wife Hinted at His Move to the Cavs Weeks Ago
The big news of today is LeBron James’ decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. But if you were paying attention, James’ wife hinted that decision three weeks ago.
On June 23rd, Savannah James posted a cryptic Instagram of Akron, Ohio. “Home sweet home!! The countdown is real!’’ she commented.

What did she mean by “countdown?’’ Today’s LeBron news suggest that she may have known her husband’s plans to move back to Ohio, where the couple grew up.
Grantland’s Matt Borcas picked up on that Instagram post at the time as he waded through the mess of rumors coming out about LeBron’s free agency plans. “The caption strikes me as calculatedly cryptic, to the point where it’s only logical to interpret Savannah’s tribute to Northeast Ohio as a message regarding her husband’s free-agency plans,’’ he wrote. Others are only now noting the Instagram post.

Hindsight is 20-20, of course. But LeBron James is heading back to Cleveland, and the countdown is over. Just as Savannah predicted.
