Paul Pierce left off Eastern Conference All-Star team
Paul Pierce will not be joining teammates Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett on the Eastern Conference All-Star team. Reserves for the game were announced Thursday night and Pierce was not among them.
Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving, Chicago’s Joakim Noah and Luol Deng, Indiana’s Paul George, Philadelphia’s Jrue Holiday, New York’s Tyson Chandler, and Miami’s Chris Bosh were named to the team.
Pierce misses the All-Star Game for the first time since 2007, when he missed 35 games due to injury. Pierce has made 10 All-Star appearances.
