Welcome to TD Garden, where the Celtics will take on the Detroit Pistons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are seeking their first win.
Been trying to get onto the court for over an hour, but the Celtics are holding a closed walkthrough on the court. In six years of covering the team I’ve never seen the pregame walkthrough go this long or this close to game-time. The C’s obviously have a lot to work on.
Since the court is closed we can’t tell if Paul Pierce is shooting or not. We’ll have an update on Pierce’s status for tonight’s game shortly.
UPDATE 5:58 p.m. Well we finally did get onto the court, where Paul Pierce was seen shooting before going back into the locker room. No update yet on Pierce but we’ll have one shortly.
Rajon Rondo was out on the court shooting that 19-footer and making it with consistency. He’s definitely working on the shot more than in the past, which is a good start to him making more of them.
One more note: Mickael Pietrus was seen sitting on the Celtics bench after the team’s walkthrough. He is expected to join the rotation in a couple of weeks.
