Celtics make Jeff Green qualifying offer, exercise option on Avery Bradley
In two moves that come as no surprise, the Celtics today officially made a qualifying offer to forward Jeff Green, making him a restricted free agent. The offer allows the Celtics to match any offer Green receives from another team. Green is expected to be a bigger part of the Celtics’ rotation next season should he stay in Boston.
The Celtics also exercised guard Avery Bradley’s option for the 2012-2013 season. Bradley played in 31 games last season for the Celtics. He was the 19th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and is expected to share in the backup duties for starting Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.
